Air Quality Index categories

The number of cities in each Air Quality Index (AQI) category as defined by the Central Pollution Control Board, based on daily average PM2.5 levels. It includes data for cities nationwide, those under India’s National Clean Air Programme, cities within the Indo-Gangetic Plain, and the National Capital Region.

Stubble burning monitoring

To capture the evolution of stubble burning in the Indo-Gangetic Plain, we utilize NASA's VNP14A1 dataset, which provides daily global fire detection data from the VIIRS instrument aboard the Suomi NPP satellite.
